Get a Tribute Band for that Special Function
These days, there are plenty of opportunities in show business, and particularly for musical groups because the music of the 60s is still going as strong as ever. And for that matter, the groups of the 70s and 80s are still popular too. This effect has spawned a load of tribute bands that copy the groups of yesteryear in dress, singing and playing style. These bands play at all sorts of functions.
Good examples are The carpenters and Abba not to mention Jerry and the Pacemakers. For different reasons these old groups are not playing now, but their music is still hugely popular. Therefore, would-be stars dress up like the stars they want to copy, with the right hair style, and play their songs.
The good thing for these people is that they can work locally in Bristol, for example, and it does not matter if there is another group doing the same thing in Plymouth or Edinburgh. These groups are in demand, and you will find Tribute bands Bristol, and in the other big towns nearby such as Swindon and Gloucester.
These tribute bands are often playing the alternative would be a local function band, which plays mainly at corporate events and social gatherings like weddings. There are function bands in Bristol, Bath and Swindon, and most of the main cities in the UK, where pop groups where invented.
It is not difficult to produce a band that looks and sounds like the famous groups of the past. You start off with the right instruments and songs, and a keyboard to provide the right rhythm and backing. Of course you need to be ale to sing and play the guitar, etc! The choice of name is critical – it needs to be catchy and close to that of the group they are copying.
Next time you are organising a special function or a wedding, you could get a tribute band to play. They are usually less costly that original bands and more popular with audiences.
